What’s new, What rocks
There are lots of great products to grab our attention in 2013. Whether you’re a weekend warrior looking for a multipurpose camper/trailer or a full-timer in search of a new on-road luxury estate, Ed shares three of his top picks of cool RVs from among the latest innovations gracing our showrooms.
Born Free Motorcoach
The Born Free motorcoach has always been synonymous with upscale touring, and to me that claim is hard to dispute. Just this past summer, Born Free and Lazydays entered into a Factory-Direct Plus partnership, which makes us the only RV dealership in the country where customers can purchase these motorcoaches outside of the Born Free factory. Our two first-class companies share a similar philosophy regarding quality and service, so the partnership is a natural fit.
Born Free is a standout when it comes to award-winning, molded fiberglass construction. That innovation makes the coach structurally aerodynamic and efficient.
For off-road family fun, I am impressed with the SylvanSport GO. It’s a smaller tent camper/trailer that’s nicely equipped and easy to set up. It has a roomy interior and is elevated off the ground, so it’s perfect for those who enjoy tent camping even in rough weather. The GO has useful benefits, including sturdy construction and an amazing rack system to carry your ATV, boats, bikes and other toys. It’s made of aluminum and is extremely lightweight (just 840 pounds), so it can be hauled even by smaller SUVs or cars.
We all have a favorite, awesome trail to ride. The GO will help you get there with ease, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and tackle any terrain.
Airstream Sport 16
Those unmistakable looks are uniquely Airstream. As a technician, I love the superior craftsmanship of these classic travel trailers. Airstream is part of American culture, and its new Sport model is a lightweight structure that really takes eyeball appeal to the max for me. There are many attention-grabbers in the smart floor plan, from its good-looking dinette to substantial storage. And there’s the aerodynamic, rounded shape and aluminum skin that give Airstream stability and great fuel efficiency. Airstream has traversed America’s highways since the 1930s, and I always smile when I see one in a campground. They’re a great addition to our showroom.
