When the active RV generation wants to go out, now they really can do it in style. The industry has seen a vast array of toy hauler RVs introduced over the past five years. Given the sustained demand for these vehicles by a whole new generation of RVers, there seems to be no saturation point.

Damon Motor Coach, known for their value engineering, has recently introduced the Outlaw. This is the first gas toy hauler motorhome with a rear ramp loading door. The unit comes standard with a 22,000 lb. Ford chassis and Triton V-10 engine that provides 457 ft/lbs of torque. You can also order the unit with a 24,000 lb. Workhorse  chassis and 8.1L Vortec engine with 455 ft/lbs of torque. The stylish exterior and interior features are capped off with an expansive  8’ X 10’ garage in the rear.

Historically this is a company that provides exceptional value in their products. Since shedding their trailer business several years ago, the company has focused exclusively on motorhomes and continues to bring exciting products to the marketplace.

Understanding that the toy hauler generation seldom travels light, Damon has engineered the    Outlaw to carry five people and all accompanying baggage. With the Ford platform this allows for 1200 lbs. up front and an additional 1500 lbs. carrying capacity in the garage. The optional Workhorse platform increases that to 2400 and 2000 lbs. respectively.

The stylish 22.5” Alcoa aluminum rims give the appearance of a more expensive diesel pusher rig. Mindful of the safety that their customers expect from Damon, the company has installed a full steel firewall to protect the interior of the motorhome. The Outlaw is built tight to stay tight. The coach portion is built on top of a 13” steel truss system with a seamless sub-floor to eliminate creaks or leaks. They also install a neoprene vibration dampening strip over the steel components to provide a smooth and quiet ride; no more listening to the hum of the tires rolling down the highway.

Respecting the lifestyle of this new generation of RVers, the unit offers a 31-gallon LP tank, a 75-gallon fresh water tank and 50-gallon grey and black water holding tanks. The 50-amp power service, Cummins Onan generator and an electric fuel pump that is tapped off the main gas tank all enhance the outdoor experience one would expect for this type of RV. The engineers even designed an automatic shut off on the 40-45 gallon gas tank that shuts off the supply of fuel to the generator and the auxiliary gas pump when the tank reaches one-quarter full. This provides the consumer with enough fuel to reach their destination or the next gas station before they resume their outdoor activities.

Inside this funmobile is a queen size loft bed with a 5” memory foam mattress over the garage, a dinette that quickly converts to a bed and a full queen size air mattress on the living room sleep sofa. There is plenty of room for all your toys and the people who use them.

A full residential kitchen caps off the Outlaw experience with a two-door refrigerator/freezer, microwave, three burner range, full oven and an over-the-range vent. Cleaning up is real easy with the deep-well sink with cutting board covers and a hi-back faucet.

With other features too numerous to mention Damon has delivered an excellent product that is going to be moving off the lot and into the great outdoors in record numbers.
